Frequently Asked Questions

What is Virtual Trivia Night? Virtual Trivia Night is a fun night of trivia (with a Cuban twist) with friends and family to raise funds for social service programs for children, youth, and families in Cuba. Held over Zoom, Virtual Trivia Night is just like a pub-style trivia contest. Topics will include everything from geography, history, sports, current events, pop culture, music, movies, etc. It’s a chance to bring together multiple generations and friends and family from across the country.

How does Virtual Trivia Night work? Players can either form a team of up to ten people or be placed in a team the night of the event. Each team will be grouped together in its own breakout room to work on the answer together. Questions will be read to the entire group and shown on a slide. Players can take a picture (with their phone) of the slide once all 10 questions have been read. After the questions are read and shown on the screen, teams will be put into breakout rooms. In the breakout rooms, you will meet with your teammates where you can see and hear each other, but not be overheard by other teams. The team will finalize their answers and the team captain will email the answers to the host for scoring.

How do I sign up? To sign up, you by a ticket through TicketSpice. You can sign up below as a team of as many as 10 people. We’ll ask you to name your team captain who will be responsible for sending in the team’s name and, on the night of the event, emailing your team’s answers in. Or sign up and ask to be placed on a team and we will match you up! Maximum number of teams: 20.

When does registration close? Registration will close on Wednesday, April 21st, or when we reach 20 teams, whichever comes first.

Are there prizes? Besides bragging rights, prizes will be awarded to the winning team! All participants can also benefit from discounts available from local restaurants to order to some good Cuban food during Virtual Trivia Night. Keep checking our Facebook page for an updated list of discounts and list of prizes.
